R&N Wedding

We have been lucky enough to go back to SA to attend Brad’s sisters wedding.  Still being on probation in my new job, I wasn’t too sure if it would be possible to go, but to be fair our flights had been booked since before we moved to Dubai so we had been looking forward to this for a very long time, we were not going to take no for an answer!  Always nice to have a date set to go home.

Nicky and Ryan’s wedding was beautiful and a lot needed to be done before their big day.  The service happened in the natural bush below the farm house.  The reception was held in the James Ford Hall at Kasouga, where Brad and I got married almost a year ago, hard to believe how time has flown!

The Fords farm, Elmhurst, was looking beautiful after all the rain and we had three perfect sunny days up until the wedding day. With lots of rain predictions and clouds hovering on the day we couldn’t help but worry that plan B might need to materialise, which would have been a huge pity as so much work had gone into holding the ceremony on the farm.  This was not the case as God was good to us with a cool day free of wind and rain.

The bridesmaids were up early and sent off to different hairdressers in Port Alfred to have their hair styled. All the girls looked stunning after their appointments and the bride was left until last.  After a little bit of stress from running late we were all back on the farm in our beautiful dressing gowns we were given as a gift from Nicky, and then had our make up done. Everyone looked stunning especially in the periwinkle coloured bridesmaid dresses made by Debbie.

The wedding went off very well and Nicky looked stunning! Ryan definitely stole the spot light when he serenaded his new wife with a song he had written himself.  Everyone had a great time and danced into the early hours of the morning.

It went too quickly but we are so happy to have been a part of their special day.  We wish you both all the love and happiness in your marriage together and many adventures! We can’t wait to see you again soon.  Welcome to the family Ryan 🙂
